The Remnant Minority
Sometimes you just have to stand... and after you've done everything... to keep standing
I believe, more and more each day, that I am in a small minority… a fringe, even. But I’m going to call it a Remnant after something one of my heroes said recently.
The Remnant are those who continue to stand even in the face of overwhelming majority-based opposition.
They stand because they firmly believe that it is the right thing to do… the courageous thing to do.
These past two years have been a true “winnowing” window. A view into separating people into various “teams” (I use that term loosely).
There are those who drink the nectar of main-stream media and either believe all of that or pronounce all of that. And in the world we live in, this is the “team” that also is powered by four pillars of influence: government, mainstream-media, education, technology. These are four very strong, very powerful and very influential pillars. It’s no wonder that a vast majority of people, including people I know and love… people in my own family… are deeply in alignment with this “team”.
But there are also those who see either ill-intent or self-blindness on the part of this team and choose to think about things in a different way. For these people, they are the “team of the remnant”. They are the team of those who have pushed back for the past two years, in spite of being called epitaphs like “anti-vax” or “conspiracy theorist” or “misinformation peddlers” or similar derogatory labels.
At the start of the pandemic, early 2020, I didn’t know what to think. I was probably part of the majority… team “fear + caution”. I went along with the government, the mainstream media, and I got sucked into fear.
Thankfully, I woke up.
I realized that I am not part of that “team”. I am not, and will not, be ruled by fear. I will not be ruled by lies. I will stand for something deeper… something truer… something much more profound.
Some of that is spiritually grounded, yes, that’s true.
But some of that is also practically grounded. I began to think. To apply reason. To not just imbibe a Narrative without questioning it. I began to embrace my remnant-self.
And so here I stand.
I may not have a large voice or large influence. But I believe that courage comes in living out our convictions. And so I try to live out that which I believe… that I am a part of a remnant that sees through the lies and power-plays of this ungodly amalgamation of government-education-media-technology.
I am a part of a team that believes in freedom, self-determination, transparency, courage, integrity, and the indomitable will of people who fight for what is right and true.
I stand with those.
